The ABW Slip Joint has no lanyard hole. It is a small milled titanium knife and there is nowhere on it to tie anything. The hide is finished with a heavy wax that sits in the top layer, so when you scratch or fold it the wax moves and the mark comes up lighter than the leather around it. Rub it with a thumb and it largely burnishes back.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThat means the slip will look carried within a month and better within a year. It keeps a record of the fact that you used the knife, which is the right behavior for leather riding against a stonewashed blade that does the same thing.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eTwo Shops, Four Hours Apart From Us\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe knife is made in Weaverville, North Carolina. The leather is cut and stitched in Adkins, Texas, about four hours south of us, by a shop that has been working leather since 2011.
