Early settlers took it as their emblem for the idea of a whole community working without anyone having to be told to, and the state motto they landed on was one word: Industry.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ePutting that on a knife built by a shop that machines everything itself, in a country that mostly stopped doing that, is a better fit than most show graphics manage. The hexagon around it is the honeycomb cell the whole symbol is built from.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eThe Mountains\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe range runs across the chassis and does not stop at the edge. It carries around to the other side, so the knife reads as one continuous piece of art rather than two panels that happen to face opposite directions. That is harder to lay out than it sounds and it is the detail you notice when you turn it over.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eMagnaCut at This Price\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eMagnaCut usually shows up on knives well north of $300. Heretic got it onto the Martyr by building the chassis from glasspack polymer instead of machined aluminum or titanium, which takes the cost out of the handle and leaves the money in the blade. The internals are hardened stainless, which is where a cheap knife would have cut the corner.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eThe Numbers Work Out\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003e3.4 inches of blade at 8.3 inches overall, and 3.8 ounces on the scale. A full size folder under four ounces is the difference between a knife you carry and a knife you leave on the dresser.
