Instead of one flat bevel from spine to edge, a compound grind puts two angles on the blade, so it can be thin where it cuts and thick where it needs support.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFinishing that to a mirror is the hard part. A mirror polish shows every flaw underneath it, which means the grind has to be right before the polishing starts.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eKnurled Steel, Not Aluminum\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe handle is 17-4 heat treated steel rather than the aluminum most Pro-Techs use.
