This is the Grid body in the Tech Pirate limited edition, titanium in matte TRD with bronze anodizing.

Specifications

Brand: Ti2 Design

Model: TechLiner Grid

Edition: Tech Pirate LE

Material: Titanium

Finish: Matte TRD, bronze anodized

Refill: Pilot G2 compatible

Cap: Pull off, magnetically retained at tip and tail, posts

The Cap and the Refill

The cap pulls off and holds magnetically at both ends, so it snaps onto the tail and posts while you write rather than going in a pocket to get lost.

It takes a Pilot G2 refill, which is the spec that matters most on a pen at this price. G2 cartridges are at every drugstore for a couple of dollars, so you are never hunting a proprietary refill or paying a premium for one.

Bronze Anodizing on Titanium

Anodizing titanium is not paint. The color comes from an oxide layer grown on the surface, and its thickness decides the color. Bronze is on the warm end of that range, which is unusual on titanium because most people run it blue or purple.

Because it is grown into the metal rather than applied over it, there is no coating to chip off an edge.

The Grid Body

The Grid is milled across the barrel, so the pen indexes in your fingers rather than rolling against them.

Tech Pirate

A limited edition from Ti2.
