Note from Lone Star Knife & Supply
I’m Chris, and Buck is one of those brands that shows up in every generation—whether it’s your first knife or your go-to hunting companion. They’ve stood the test of time for a reason: American-made quality, rock-solid warranties, and a deep understanding of what users really need in a knife.

History

Founded in 1902 by Hoyt Buck, the company began with hand-forged blades built to hold an edge longer than anything else available at the time. In 1964, Buck changed the game with the release of the Model 110 Folding Hunter, which quickly became a cornerstone in the world of folding knives.

Still family-owned and operated, Buck Knives moved operations to Post Falls, Idaho, where they continue to produce a wide range of knives for hunting, outdoor, tactical, and everyday use—always with an emphasis on value, longevity, and American craftsmanship.

What They’re Known For

  • The Buck 110 Folding Hunter
An icon. With brass bolsters, a clip point blade, and lockback strength, this knife has defined traditional EDC for decades.

  • American-Made Classics
Many of Buck’s most popular models—like the 110, 119, and 112—are proudly made in Idaho using heat-treated 420HC steel or upgraded S30V in their Pro series.

  • Paul Bos Heat Treat
A proprietary heat treatment developed in-house that gives Buck blades exceptional performance from steels like 420HC, S35VN, and more.

  • Forever Warranty
Buck’s warranty is legendary—if it fails due to manufacturing defects, they’ll repair or replace it, no questions asked.

  • Modern Innovation
While they’re known for tradition, Buck continues to move forward with modern EDC designs, micarta handles, drop-point blades, and more—all while keeping prices fair.

From field dressing game to opening boxes at work, Buck Knives are built to be used, passed down, and trusted. If you’re looking for a piece of American knife history that’s still ready to work, Buck’s got your back.
