Founded in 2015 by Tony Marfione Jr., son of Microtech founder Tony Marfione, Heretic Knives was built to push the boundaries of modern knife-making. Based in Florida, USA, the company blends innovative machining with hands-on craftsmanship, producing knives that feel as bold as they look.
Heretic is best known for its high-performance automatics and out-the-front (OTF) knives, like the Hydra, Manticore, and Wraith series, each designed with tight tolerances, striking finishes, and unmistakable style. Many of their models feature in-house anodizing, custom blade grinds, and limited “Cel Shade” colorways that have become collector favorites.
Every Heretic knife is machined, assembled, and finished by hand in the USA, combining precision engineering with a maker’s touch. The result is a lineup that bridges the gap between production reliability and custom artistry.
