MachineWise is a modern American knife and tool maker based in Phoenix, Arizona, founded in 2021 by machinist and designer Deylan Crawford. What started as a garage project grew quickly as Crawford applied his machining background to knives, beginning with balisongs and expanding into folders and EDC tools. Today MachineWise operates out of a dedicated studio where every step of production is done in-house, including machining, finishing, assembly, and quality control. The company offers a lifetime warranty on its products and builds each knife with real-world use in mind.
MachineWise has earned a strong reputation for precision engineering, smooth mechanics, and clean machining work. Their lineup includes models like the Sonora and Mojave folders, along with high performance balisongs that helped establish the brand’s following.
