Three Rivers Manufacturing, better known as TRM, has built a loyal following by producing lightweight, slicey, and incredibly well-built knives—all made in the USA. Their knives are known for tight tolerances, thoughtful design, and blades that cut like scalpels.

History

TRM was launched in 2014 as a division of Halpern Titanium, a Massachusetts-based company with decades of experience making OEM parts for major knife makers. Tired of seeing other names on the blades they helped build, they decided to launch their own brand—and TRM was born.

From the beginning, TRM’s philosophy has been simple: make knives that cut really, really well. They use ultra-thin blade stock, premium steel like 20CV and MagnaCut, and focus on real-world use. Their knives are produced in small batches and often sell out fast due to high demand and limited production runs.

What They Offer

  • Atom: A 3.5" full flat grind folding knife that's lightweight, slicey, and available in dozens of scale materials.
  • Neutron 2: A slightly smaller alternative to the Atom, still packed with TRM precision and comfort in hand.
  • Shadow: Their take on an ambidextrous crossbar lock design, with smooth action and a work-ready build.
  • Bulldog: A compact, hard-use folder that pairs thick blade stock with excellent geometry and everyday practicality.
