The Shark-Lock

The Shark-Lock is Demko's own mechanism and the reason people buy these. A spring loaded bar drops into a notch on the blade tang, so the lock gets stronger under load rather than weaker, and it disengages with a single motion that works the same for either hand. Demko holds the patent on it.

CPM-3V

3V is a toughness steel, not an edge retention steel. It is the one you pick when you would rather roll an edge than chip one, which is why it shows up on hard use fixed blades and on folders meant to be treated like fixed blades. Paired with quarter inch blade stock, this is not a knife built to be delicate.

Two-Tone Carbon Fiber

Carbon fiber takes real weight off a knife this size. The titanium versions run 10.5 ounces, and this one comes in noticeably under that, which changes how it carries in a pocket all day. The two-tone treatment gives the weave contrast that a plain black carbon panel does not have.
