The Mayfly

The Mayfly is a small every day fixed blade built to carry easily and disappear until you need it. The 2.4 inch tanto gives you a strong tip in a short blade, and at 6 inches overall it is easy to carry around the neck or in a pocket. It handles the small cutting jobs a folder gets used for, without any moving parts to work.

Nitro-V Blade

The blade is Nitro-V, a nitrogen stainless that sharpens easily and resists rust, which makes it a good fit for a knife you carry close to the body. The stonewashed finish hides normal wear so it keeps looking good with use.

Serialized and One of a Kind

Each Mayfly in this listing is its own numbered piece, and the handles are all different. There are two in Burl and Glow epoxy, one in purple G10, and two with segmented scales. No two are quite the same, so choose your serial and handle from the options above.

About HF Blade Co.

HF Blade Co. is Ken, a one-man shop in Lawrence, Michigan, working on seven acres with goats, chickens, and one of the largest American flags you will see in a knife shop. HF stands for Homestead Forge, his original name for the brand. Ken works a full-time job and builds knives around it, with his focus squarely on everyday carry rather than the outdoors.

His goal is a cost-effective American-made knife that more people can actually afford, and he stands behind every one. Ken heat treats and finishes each knife himself in his Michigan shop, and if anything is ever wrong with one, he makes it right fast. That is the kind of maker we want on our shelf.

Why This One Stands Out

These are one-off serialized pieces from a small Michigan maker, in Nitro-V with a Kydex sheath and an Ulticlip ready to carry. Once a serial sells, that exact knife is gone.
