A hand ground S45VN flipper from a small North Carolina shop.
The Bikkhu is Hypercut MFG's titanium frame lock flipper, machined by Dylan and his crew in Mills River, North Carolina. Serial 0230 runs a CPM-S45VN blade in a titanium frame with camo carbon inlays, a blue anodized flipper tab, and a blue anodized pivot.
How to Say It
Bikkhu is pronounced BIC-oo. Think of the pen, Bic, with an oo on the end.
Camo Carbon
Camo carbon is a carbon composite with the weave broken up into an irregular pattern rather than a uniform one, shot through with amber and gold flecks that catch light as you turn it. It reads more like a natural material than a technical one. It is cut from sheet, so the pattern lands differently on every set of inlays, and the ones on serial 0230 exist once.
Against the dark inlays, the blue anodized tab and pivot are the only color on the knife.

Hand Ground, One at a Time
Dylan grinds every Bikkhu bevel by hand on a belt sander, setting lockup to a scribe line. As he puts it, a lot of makers believe the soul of the knife is in the bevel, and that is where his blood, sweat, and tears go. Building one means assembling and disassembling the same knife something like a hundred times before it ships.
Made in North Carolina
Dylan started Hypercut with one used 1996 mill he bought off Facebook Marketplace and wired in himself. That machine still runs. Asked why he builds in America, his answer was short: because that is where he lives.
Why This One Stands Out
The only camo carbon Bikkhu in this batch, and the only one that is not anodized head to toe. One of one.
