A hand ground S45VN flipper from a small North Carolina shop.
The Bikkhu is Hypercut MFG's titanium frame lock flipper, machined by Dylan and his crew in Mills River, North Carolina. Serial 0236 runs a CPM-S45VN blade in a teal anodized titanium frame with chevron milling, a magenta to purple flipper tab, and purple anodized pivot and hardware.
How to Say It
Bikkhu is pronounced BIC-oo. Think of the pen, Bic, with an oo on the end.
The Chevron Milling
This is what separates 0236 from the other teal Bikkhu in this batch. The frame is milled in a chevron pattern rather than a crosshatch, so the texture runs in one direction and the light moves across it differently. Same colors, different surface.
Anodizing titanium is a chemical process rather than a paint, so the color is built into the surface. Every run comes out slightly different and this one exists on one knife.

Hand Ground, One at a Time
Dylan grinds every Bikkhu bevel by hand on a belt sander, setting lockup to a scribe line. As he puts it, a lot of makers believe the soul of the knife is in the bevel, and that is where his blood, sweat, and tears go. Building one means assembling and disassembling the same knife something like a hundred times before it ships.
Made in North Carolina
Dylan started Hypercut with one used 1996 mill he bought off Facebook Marketplace and wired in himself. That machine still runs. Asked why he builds in America, his answer was short: because that is where he lives.
Why This One Stands Out
Teal and purple with chevron milling. Serialized, hand ground, one of one.
