The Dharma Manual is the non automatic version of Hypercut MFG's Dharma, machined by Dylan and his crew in Mills River, North Carolina. Serial 0290 runs a 3.2 inch CPM-S45VN tanto in black glass composite frames with bronze hardware and a stonewashed blade with milled holes along the spine.
Black and Bronze
The frames are black glass composite rather than titanium, which drops weight and gives the knife a flat, dark surface with a speckled texture to it. Against that, the bronze pivot and bronze body screws are the only warm color anywhere on the knife.
The blade carries a row of milled holes along the spine, which lightens the blade and is the detail people notice second, after the color.
Manual, and Why That Matters
The Dharma is best known as an automatic, and this is the version for people who either do not want an auto or cannot carry one where they live. Same blade, same grind, same shop. You open it on thumb studs instead of a button.

Hand Ground, One at a Time
Dylan grinds every bevel by hand on a belt sander rather than sending them out. As he puts it, a lot of makers believe the soul of the knife is in the bevel, and that is where his blood, sweat, and tears go.
Made in North Carolina
Dylan started Hypercut with one used 1996 mill he bought off Facebook Marketplace and wired in himself. That machine still runs. Asked why he builds in America, his answer was short: because that is where he lives.
Why This One Stands Out
The first Dharma Manual we have carried, in black and bronze. One of one.
