The Nackt is Hypercut MFG's precision bolt action pen, machined in Mills River, North Carolina. This is the brass version, new to the lineup. It runs a Pilot G2 refill and the bolt action has a smooth, acoustic click that makes it as much a fidget as a writer.

Why Brass

Brass is the reason to take this over the titanium Nackt. It is heavier in the hand, which changes how the pen sits while you write and gives the bolt a more solid feel. It also patinas. A brass pen carried and used for a year looks nothing like one out of the box, darkening first where your fingers land. If you want a pen that records the time you have spent with it, this is the material.

Dylan builds pens on the same idea behind everything else in the shop. Hypercut is a small shop that machines everything in house. Dylan started with one used 1996 mill he bought off Facebook Marketplace and wired in himself, and that machine still runs. Everyday objects like this, made well and made here, are exactly the kind of thing we like carrying.
