Ultratech Gen IV, double edge, in purple abrasion with a half tri-grip handle.

The Ultratech is the knife Microtech is known for, and Gen IV is the current build. This one runs a double edge dagger in M390MK on a purple abrasion aluminum chassis, with tri-grip texturing across the back half of the handle.

Note from Lone Star Knife and Supply: The abrasion finish is a worn purple rather than a flat one, so it reads quiet in the pocket and loud in the hand. The half tri-grip is the detail you notice when you pick it up, because the texture stops halfway and the front half stays smooth.

Why this one stands out

  • M390MK double edge dagger, 3.55 inches
  • Dual Fuel Drivetrain, slide fired both directions
  • Purple abrasion finish on 6061-T6 aluminum
  • Half tri-grip texturing across the back of the handle

The Half Tri-Grip

Tri-grip is Microtech's molded texture pattern, and on most knives it runs the length of the handle. Here it covers the back half only.

That puts the grip where your palm sits and leaves the front half clean, so the chassis lines stay visible. It does more for how the knife looks than for how it holds, and that is the point of this one.

Automatic Knife Laws

Automatic knives are restricted in some places, so check your state and local law before you order.
