Round Two. Twenty mismatched Zeros, twenty spots, and no way to know which one is yours until it shows up.
Watch the videos here: Overview | Final Result
Every Zero in this batch has a lid and body that do not match, and a lanyard tied on to go with it. You might end up with a gray File Pattern lid on a black Smooth Operator body, or a brass lid on an aluminum one, or a combination Rivery has never sold and never will. How they got that way stays a mystery. Each one is backed by the Rivery MFG warranty.

About the Photos
The photos on this listing are examples of mismatched Zeros. Some may be from this round and some may not, so do not go hunting for yours in them.
Every Zero Has a Lanyard
Every single Zero in this batch ships with a lanyard already tied on. No exceptions, no add to cart, nothing to ask for. Six of the twenty also come with a bead, and we are not giving away which six. You find out when yours shows up.
What Is in the Pool
- Twenty mismatched Rivery MFG Zeros, each a different lid and body combination
- A pre-tied lanyard on every one
- Six of them also carry a bead: four North Edge Tools Hex beads, one TEC Accessories S1 in copper, and one TEC Accessories S1 in brass
How It Works
Each purchase is one spot. There is no limit on how many you can buy and no deadline to buy by. Once all twenty spots are gone, every Zero gets assigned to an order at random. Nobody picks. Not you, not us.
Orders ship the day after the last spot sells. Coupon codes work on this listing the same as anywhere else on the site.
Buying for a Friend
A mystery Zero makes an easy gift. To ship a spot to someone else, put their name and address in the order notes at checkout. Buying one for yourself and one for a buddy? Add the second address in the notes and we will ship them separately.
The Warranty, and What It Does Not Cover
Every Zero in this batch is fully covered by the Rivery MFG warranty, mismatched parts and all. Michael stands behind these the same as anything else that leaves his shop.
One thing worth knowing up front. Rivery guarantees the knife will work. They cannot guarantee cosmetics. If a part ever needs replacing and that exact lid or body is out of production, they will use what they have on hand, and your Zero may come back looking different from the one you received. Since every Zero in this batch is already a combination that does not exist in Rivery's catalog, that felt like the right trade to us.
About the Zero
The Zero is Rivery MFG's screwless retractable utility knife, designed by engineer Michael Sayers and machined in Sevierville, Tennessee. It runs on a key and spring slide with a crisp click and clack. It takes common trapezoid utility blades including Stanley, Milwaukee, Dewalt Carbide, Titan, and standard SK5. Fiskars and ceramic blades are not compatible.
Zero Expectations
Here is the fun of this. There are ZERO Zeros out there just like the one you are going to get, and you can count on that. Not a low number. Zero. You will have a completely unique Zero with ZERO imitators.
It is the three together that make it one of one. Lid, body, and lanyard. A lid on a different body is something anybody with two Zeros and a few minutes can do. The particular lid, the particular body, and the particular lanyard that end up in your hands is a combination that exists once.
You are not choosing a pattern or a color here. You are buying a spot and letting chance sort it out. Nobody ends up with the Zero they would have picked off a shelf, and that is the entire point. Show up with zero expectations and go home with something you never would have chosen on your own.
Why This One Stands Out
Mixing parts is half the fun of owning Zeros, and you can do it at home with the ones you already have. Pull a lid off one and put it on another and you have a knife nobody else is carrying. V1 lids fit V1 bodies and V2 lids fit V2 bodies, so keep the generations together and go see what you can come up with.
What you cannot do at home is land on this one. Twenty lids, twenty bodies, twenty lanyards, put together here and handed out at random. If you own more than one Zero, the next mismatch is up to you.
All Mystery Box sales are final.
