The WW2 Linen Micarta
These overlays are cut from genuine World War Two era linen micarta, not a modern sheet made to look old. The material was produced during the war for industrial and military use, and what is left is finite. Every piece carries the color and the grain it developed over eighty years sitting in a warehouse.
That is the part of this knife that cannot be reordered. NCC can machine another frame. Nobody is making more 1940s micarta.
Cracked Ice Blue
Cracked ice is a titanium anodizing technique where the surface is worked so the color breaks up into facets rather than laying down flat. In blue it reads like light coming off a frozen lake, and the pattern is specific to this frame. Against the warm, aged micarta it is about as much contrast as you can put on one knife and still have it work.
Zirblast Blue Throughout
Clip, backspacer, hardware, and switch are all Zirblast Blue. Zirblast is a zirconia bead blast, which leaves a fine matte surface that takes anodizing differently than a polished part does. Running it across every component is what keeps a knife with this much going on from looking busy.
The Hawk Lock
The Hawk Lock is Grant and Gavin Hawk's mechanism, and it is one of the few genuinely different lock designs in production. It is ambidextrous, it keeps your fingers out of the blade path, and it has a distinct feel that people either chase or do not understand until they handle one.
This one is set up with thumb studs and a flipper delete, so the lines of the frame stay uninterrupted.
Skiff Made Bearings
The bearing upgrade comes from Skiff Made, and it is the detail that separates a good action from one people talk about. Standard bearings work. These make the knife feel like it is running on nothing at all.
S45VN and the Harpoon Tanto
S45VN is the updated S35VN, with more chromium for corrosion resistance and a finer grain that holds an edge longer. The harpoon tanto combines a reinforced tip with the notch along the spine, which gives you a thumb ramp and a profile nobody confuses for anything else.
Why This One Stands Out
One of one. Serialized, built on finite material, with an action that does not come standard. There is no second number 25.
