Fifty Made

This is the shortest run of every Pro-Tech that came out of Blade Show West. The Pallas was 85, the Duke 80, the Malibu 100, the Mordax 65, and the TR-3 Integrity 150. Fifty is the number to pay attention to here.

The Abalone Button

Abalone is the loudest shell there is, shifting green, blue, and pink depending on where you are standing. On an all black knife with satin hardware, it is deliberate. Everything else is dialed down so the button does not have to compete with anything.

No two abalone buttons look alike, because no two shells do.

DLC Black S35VN

S35VN is the steel that spent a decade as the default for American premium folders before MagnaCut arrived, and it is still a good one. It sharpens easily, holds a working edge, and takes a DLC coating well. DLC is a hard carbon layer, so it adds abrasion resistance rather than just color.

The Newport

The Newport is one of Pro-Tech's slimmer automatics, built to disappear in a pocket rather than announce itself. In all black with a shell button it is about as understated as a California auto gets.

Automatic knives are restricted in some places, so check your state and local law before you order.
