Distressed Blue and Bronze

Titanium anodizing is voltage, not paint. Blue and bronze sit at different points on that scale, so getting both on one handle means working the part in stages rather than dipping it once. Distressing it afterward breaks the color up so it reads as something that has been somewhere.

Laid over a lattice texture, the anodizing pools differently in the cut areas than on the raised ones. That is the whole effect, and it cannot be repeated exactly.

Chad Nichols Damascus

Chad Nichols is one of the few damascus makers whose name sells a knife on its own. Boomerang is his pattern where the layers are manipulated during forging into repeating curved chevrons, and because the figure develops through the billet rather than being applied to it, no two blades come out the same.

6Al4V Titanium

6Al4V is the aerospace grade, stronger than commercially pure titanium and considerably harder to machine. Lattice texturing it is slow work, which is part of why this is the most expensive Pallas in the group.

Forty Five Made

Pro-Tech produced 45 of Custom 005. Between hand worked anodizing and forged damascus, there are two separate processes on this knife that will not repeat identically, so the number understates how specific yours is.

Automatic knives are restricted in some places, so check your state and local law before you order.
