The custom Pallas. Lattice textured titanium in distressed green and gold.
The Pallas is Pro-Tech's collaboration with Spartan Blades, and this is the custom shop version. 6AL-4V titanium handles milled in a lattice texture and anodized in distressed green and gold, with a 3.7 inch DLC black MagnaCut blade and a mosaic pin push button.
Note from Lone Star Knife and Supply: The standard CCKS Pallas is aluminum. This one is titanium with a milled lattice and a two color distressed anodize, which is a different knife wearing the same name.

Why This One Costs What It Does
Aluminum anodizes easily and cheaply. Titanium does not, and a two color distressed anodize over a milled lattice is several operations that have to land right in sequence or the handle gets scrapped.
That is the gap between this and the standard Pallas. Same design, same blade, considerably more work in the handle.
35 Produced
Pro-Tech made thirty five of these for the California Custom Knife Show. Custom shop runs do not come back, so when these are gone the only ones that exist are on people's shelves.
The Lattice
Lattice is a milled pattern rather than an applied texture, cut into the titanium so the anodizing lands at different depths across it. That is what gives the green and gold its distressed look instead of a flat two tone.
An Automatic
Push button automatics are restricted in a number of states and cities. Worth checking your state and local law before you order.
About Pro-Tech Knives
Pro-Tech builds its knives in Placentia, California. Automatics are what they are known for, and the action on a Pro-Tech button is most of the reason these cost what they do.
