The first full size Scapegoat. Battleworn red, gold hardware, and a machined skull clip.
Ramon Chavez designed the Scapegoat for Pro-Tech and until now it has only existed as the Compact. This is the full size, debuted at the California Custom Knife Show in the fall of 2026, on battleworn red aluminum with a stonewash MagnaCut blade and gold PVD hardware.
Note from Lone Star Knife and Supply: We bought these off the table in California. The Scapegoat has been one of the knives people ask us for most, and this is the first time anyone has been able to buy one in the larger frame.

The First Full Size
Every Scapegoat before this one was a Compact. Same design language, smaller frame. People who liked the knife but wanted more handle in their hand have been waiting, and this is the answer.
1 of 80
Pro-Tech made eighty of these for the California Custom Knife Show and serialized every one. When the eighty are gone there is not a second run.
The Skull Clip
Most of what you pay for on a limited Pro-Tech is hardware other knives do not get. This one carries a machined titanium skull clip in gold anodizing, matched to the gold PVD hardware, against a battleworn red handle.
Battleworn means the finish arrives already worked back, so the knife does not have a pristine phase you are trying to protect.
An Automatic
Push button automatics are restricted in a number of states and cities. Worth checking your state and local law before you order.
About Pro-Tech Knives
Pro-Tech builds its knives in Placentia, California. Automatics are what they are known for, and the action on a Pro-Tech button is most of the reason these cost what they do.
