The full size Scapegoat in blue, with an abalone button and a stonewash titanium skull clip. Forty made.
Ramon Chavez designed the Scapegoat for Pro-Tech and the full size frame debuted at the California Custom Knife Show in the fall of 2026. This is the blue run, on blue aluminum with an acid wash MagnaCut blade, satin hardware, and a machined titanium skull clip left stonewashed.
Note from Lone Star Knife and Supply: The red full size was serialized of eighty. This one is serialized of forty, so it is the harder of the two to find.

The First Full Size
Every Scapegoat before this year was a Compact. Same design language, smaller frame. People who liked the knife but wanted more handle in their hand have been waiting, and this is the answer.
1 of 40
Pro-Tech serialized every one of these and made forty. The red full size from the same show ran to eighty, so this is half the number of a knife that was already limited.
Acid Wash and Abalone
Acid wash is not stonewash. Stonewash tumbles the blade to a soft even grey, while acid wash eats at the surface and leaves a mottled finish that is different on every blade. Two of these side by side will not match.
The button is abalone rather than the black lip pearl Pro-Tech usually fits. Abalone shifts green and blue as the light moves on it, which is the one piece of color against a blue handle and a grey blade.
The Skull Clip
Most of what you pay for on a limited Pro-Tech is hardware other knives do not get. This one carries a machined titanium skull clip, left stonewash to sit against the satin hardware rather than contrast with it.
An Automatic
Push button automatics are restricted in a number of states and cities. Worth checking your state and local law before you order.
About Pro-Tech Knives
Pro-Tech builds its knives in Placentia, California. Automatics are what they are known for, and the action on a Pro-Tech button is most of the reason these cost what they do.
