The Mother of Pearl Button

This is the detail that separates the MOP from the rest of the 921 line. The push button carries a white mother of pearl inlay, which is shell rather than plastic, so it shifts color as the light moves across it. Against a red handle it is the one warm, organic thing on an otherwise machined knife.

Why the Godfather Matters

Pro-Tech built the Godfather around the Italian stiletto, the long, slim switchblade that became the shape everyone pictures when they hear the word. The difference is that this one is built to modern tolerances in California rather than cheaply copied overseas.
