The TR-5 is the compact member of the Pro-Tech Tactical Response family, designed by Matthew Lerch and built around a push button automatic that fires with the same authority as anything else in the Pro-Tech lineup. At 3.25" of S35VN in a 7.625" package, it is the TR-3's smaller sibling and the one that disappears most completely in a pocket. This Blade Show Texas 2026 version puts a green feather-textured aluminum handle on the platform with a stonewash S35VN blade, mosaic pin button, satin hardware, and a satin deep carry clip. Everything about the configuration is purposeful.

Made in the USA Pro-Tech has been manufacturing knives in Placentia, California since 1994, machining and assembling everything in-house to their own tolerances. The action on the TR-5 reflects that.
