The Zero V2 in Grenade texture, milled from solid brass.

The Zero is Rivery MFG's screwless retractable utility knife, designed by engineer Michael Sayers and machined in Sevierville, Tennessee. This is the V2 in solid brass, Grenade milling. Brass gives it real heft and a warm look that will patina with carry. It takes standard replaceable utility blades and runs on a key-and-spring slide with a crisp click and clack.

What's new in the V2

Rivery redesigned the blade holder with a wider angle, added a wing to the carriage, and reworked the bearing surface to be simple and user serviceable. Most V2 parts drop into a Gen 1 body, with one exception: the winged carriage is V2 only.

Brass

Brass is the heavy, warm option in the lineup. It carries with more weight than the aluminum versions, and it takes on a patina over time that makes each one look a little more like yours the longer you use it.

The action

The Zero is built around feel. A weighted internal key and firm spring give it a deliberate slide with a satisfying click and clack on every cycle, in a seamless, screwless body that carries small and flat.

Blades it takes

The Zero uses common trapezoid utility blades, including Stanley, Milwaukee, Dewalt Carbide, Titan, and standard SK5 blades. Fiskars and ceramic blades are not compatible.

Made in Tennessee

Every Zero is machined and assembled in East Tennessee. A small American shop reworking a tool most people overlook, done with real precision, is exactly what we like carrying.

Why this one stands out

The heaviest, warmest Zero in the lineup: solid brass with the grippy Grenade texture, on the improved V2 platform, a tool that earns a patina.
