The Spartan Harsey Folder, or SHF, is Spartan Blades' flagship folder, designed with William Harsey Jr. and winner of the 2016 BLADE Show American Made Knife of the Year. This one has a bronze anodized titanium handle with matching bronze hardware, on the full 6AL-4V titanium frame lock body with a 4 inch CPM-MagnaCut spear point.

Bronze on Bronze

Anodizing colors titanium by building an oxide layer on the surface, so the bronze is in the metal rather than painted over it. With matching bronze hardware the whole handle reads as one warm tone. Because anodizing is done by hand, expect slight color variation from one knife to the next.

The SHF

Everything but the blade, pivot, and stop pin is machined titanium. It deploys on dual thumb studs over phosphor bronze bushings, and the action breaks in and gets better with use rather than loosening up. It is a heavy, confidence inspiring folder that gets compared to Chris Reeve and Hinderer, and at 5.9 ounces it earns the comparison.
