Machined titanium, Short length at 5.1 inches.

The Bolt Action in the finish and material most people start with. One thumb on the bolt advances and retracts the refill, and the fine rings left by the lathe are what give the body its grip.

Why Short

Half an inch does not sound like much until the pen is in a pocket rather than on a desk. The short body clears the top of a front pocket, rides better in a notebook loop, and is the one people reach for when the standard has been living in a bag instead of on them.

Writing feel is the same. The grip section and the bolt do not change between lengths.

The Machined Finish

Machined is the plainest finish Tactile Turn offers and the one that shows the turning marks most clearly. Those rings are not texture applied afterward. They are the record of the lathe, and they are also what keeps the pen from rolling out of your fingers.

Titanium

Light, corrosion resistant, and effectively permanent. A titanium pen is the one you stop thinking about, which on an object you carry every day is the highest compliment available.

Made in Texas

Tactile Turn machines everything in Dallas, Texas. Will Hodges started the company turning pens on a lathe and it has stayed a machining operation rather than a brand that outsources.
