Why Short

Half an inch does not sound like much until the pen is in a pocket rather than on a desk. The short body clears the top of a front pocket, rides better in a notebook loop, and is the one people reach for when the standard has been living in a bag instead of on them.

Writing feel is the same. The grip section and the bolt do not change between lengths.

Bronze Changes Over Time

Titanium looks the same in five years as it does today. Bronze does not. It darkens where you handle it and stays bright where you do not, so the pen ends up carrying a record of how you hold it.
