What the Switch Does

Most pens commit you to a refill type. The Switch does not. The same body takes a standard ballpoint or rollerball refill and a fountain pen nib section, so the pen you carry can be whichever one the day calls for.

That is a harder thing to engineer than it sounds, because the two systems want different internal dimensions.

Stonewashed Against Machined

Every Tactile Turn pen carries the fine rings left by the lathe. Stonewashing tumbles the finished body so those rings keep their grip while the surface goes soft and matte rather than bright.

The practical result is a pen that does not show handling. A machined titanium body picks up marks and a stonewashed one absorbs them into a finish that is already made of them.
