Back Door Entry. Lightly carried. No fall damage. Comes with the box, the sheath, and the papers.

This is a Benchmade Auto Adamas, 2750GY-3, with a 3.78 inch CPM-CruWear drop point and desert tan G10 scales. It was carried a handful of times and never actually used.

Condition, stated plainly. There are light marks on the pocket clip, the kind that come from a knife riding in a pocket a few times. Everything else looks new. That is the whole of it.

Where the Adamas Came From

Shane Sibert designed the Adamas with Major Jeff Strueker, who served from 1987 to 2011, most of it in the 75th Ranger Regiment. Benchmade donates a portion of every Adamas sale to the Ranger Assistance Foundation, which supports the families of Rangers killed or wounded in action.

That is not marketing attached after the fact. The knife was built to that brief, which is why it is overbuilt in every direction.

CruWear at 63 to 65

CruWear is a tool steel rather than a stainless, and Benchmade runs it hard at 63 to 65 HRC. That is a long way up the hardness scale, and it means an edge that lasts through work that would dull most steels. It will patina if you neglect it, which is the trade you make for that performance.

The tungsten gray coating handles the corrosion resistance the steel does not.

A Real Automatic

Auto-AXIS is Benchmade's automatic version of the AXIS lock. It fires hard and locks up like the manual version. Worth checking your state and local law before you order, since automatic knives are restricted in some places.

Why This One Is Priced Where It Is

Used Adamas autos comp between $155 and $225. This one is listed above that range on purpose, because the condition is well above what those comps represent. New, this knife runs $360 and up.

About the Back Door
