The Back Door entry. Like new in box. No fall damage. Has the box.
The Dacian in Blue Denim Micarta, with a MagnaCut spear point and the leather scout sheath.
This is the knife Benchmade built for people who were going to use it. Nothing on it is decorative. Look the photos over before you buy.
Condition
Like new in box. This one shipped out to a customer and came back, and that round trip is the only thing that happened to it. We went over it and found nothing to point at. It has the box and the sheath. Everything in The Back Door gets called a return when it has been shipped once, even when it comes back looking exactly like it left, which is the case here.

Why This One Stands Out
- Like new in box, with the box and the sheath
- MagnaCut on a fixed blade under four ounces
- Blue Denim Micarta, which is the better looking of the two Dacian handle options and the harder one to find
- Leather scout sheath with a Boltaron insert, so the retention does not soften like plain leather does
The Grooves Are the Point
The Micarta is cut with lateral grooves rather than left smooth or given a checkered texture. That gives you something to index against when your grip changes, whether you are choked up for detail work or pushing on the spine. It is also why this handle does not get slick the way a polished scale does once your hands are wet.
Boltaron Inside Leather
A plain leather sheath softens and loosens as it ages, and eventually a fixed blade starts rattling in it. Benchmade puts a Boltaron insert inside the leather here, so you get the look and the feel of leather with retention that stays where it started. Scout carry means it rides horizontally on the belt, which keeps a 7.85 inch knife out of the way when you sit down.
MagnaCut
MagnaCut gives you edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance without trading any of the three. On an outdoor fixed blade the corrosion resistance earns its keep, because this is the knife that gets wet and then gets put away.
Not Flashy, On Purpose
The Dacian is not oversized, not tactical, and not pretending to be a survival knife. It is a 3.65 inch spear point for cutting things, built in Oregon out of good steel. Those are getting harder to find at any price.
