This one is listed in The Back Door. It is lightly used and fully functional. The blade is a factory blem (laser-marked BLEM), and the original scales have been swapped for custom purple flame maple by an independent maker. Look the photos over before buying.

The Bradford Guardian 4.2 is the second generation of Bradford's Guardian 4, a big-boned outdoor fixed blade built in Kent, Washington. This one runs Bradford's High Hardness CPM-MagnaCut in a 4.83 inch drop point, stonewashed, and it has been rehafted with figured purple flame maple over turquoise pins. It comes with a leather sheath.

The rehaft

The factory scales have been replaced with figured purple flame maple by an independent maker, so this is a one-off you will not find on Bradford's site. The wood gives it warmth the production versions do not have, set off by turquoise liners and pins.

High Hardness MagnaCut

MagnaCut already balances edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. Bradford's High Hardness run pushes the heat treat harder for even better edge holding. On a 4.83 inch blade at .165 inch stock, this is built for batoning, game processing, and camp work.

Made in Washington

Bradford is Brad and Nicole Larkin's shop in Kent, Washington, running since 2012. Small American shops doing their own grinding and heat treat on steels like MagnaCut is exactly what we like carrying, and the custom rehaft keeps this one American-made through and through.

Why this one stands out

A Bradford Guardian 4.2 in High Hardness MagnaCut with a one-off purple flame maple handle. A hard-use USA fixed blade that does not look like everyone else's.
