Back Door Entry. Like New In Box, Never Carried, Never Cut.
This is an Emerson CQC-8 BTS, black coated 154CM with a partially serrated edge, black G-10 scales, and the Emerson Wave opener. It came in like new in the box, never carried and never used to cut anything. The owner put a few drops of mineral oil on the G-10 before it shipped, so the scales are dark and even.
The CQC-8 is the long blade in the CQC family, just shy of four inches of chisel ground 154CM at 57 to 59 Rc. The liner lock and the G-10 are what you expect from Harbor City, which is to say overbuilt and unfussy. The Wave is the part people either already understand or are about to. The hook on the spine catches the edge of your pocket on the draw and the knife is open before your hand clears your leg. Nothing to press, nothing to flick.
At just under six ounces this is not a knife that hides. It rides right hand tip up and it wants a belt loop or a work pocket, not slacks. If you carry hard and you want something that opens without thinking about it, the CQC-8 has been answering that question since the nineties.
