This is a Rick Hinderer XM-18 non-flipper in the bowie grind, full titanium, battle blue finish, with a 3.5 inch CPM S45VN blade.

Full Titanium, Non-Flipper

Most XM-18s you find are the flipper with a G10 scale. This is neither. Full titanium on both sides and no flipper tab, which means a clean silhouette and a thumb stud opening. It is the configuration people specifically hunt for and it turns up far less often than the standard build.

Battle Blue

Battle blue is a Hinderer finish rather than a coating, a deep blue grey that shifts depending on the light and wears in rather than off. On full titanium it is the version that photographs nothing like it looks in the hand.

The Bowie Grind

The bowie has a clipped, swedged tip with belly behind it. More piercing authority than a drop point and more cutting edge than a tanto, which is why Hinderer offers it and why people pick it.
