The Back Door entry. Used. No fall damage. No box, but it ships in the pouch. No COA.

A Medford Praetorian Swift Auto, 3.3 inch blade on the button lock frame with the titanium secondary safety.

The Swift is the compact end of the Praetorian family, and it is the one Medford built for people who wanted the Praetorian frame without the Praetorian size. Look the photos over before you buy. On this one the photos matter more than usual, and the next section explains why.

What We Can and Cannot Confirm

We do not guess at specs, so here is the plain version. The blade is etched 911-086. It came to us with no certificate of authenticity and no box, just the pouch.

Medford runs the Praetorian Swift in more than one steel and more than one blade shape across its production, and nothing on this knife tells us which run it came from. So rather than pick the likely answer and print it, we are leaving steel and blade shape off the spec list. What you see in the photos is what is there. If you know the Swift lineup and can place it from the pictures, you will probably know more than we do, and we would rather say that than guess at a number on a listing.

The dimensions below are the Swift platform, which does not change from run to run.

Why This One Stands Out

  • Medford build quality at well under what the Swift lists for new
  • Button lock backed by a titanium secondary safety, which not many autos carry
  • Compact Praetorian frame at 7.5 inches overall
  • Priced for the missing box and COA rather than priced as if they were here

The Secondary Safety

This is the detail worth knowing about on the Swift. Alongside the button lock there is a titanium safety that physically blocks the mechanism, so the blade cannot fire in a pocket or a bag if something presses the button. Most automatics rely on spring tension and a recessed button alone. Medford added a part.

Medford Weight

Medfords are heavy and everyone who owns one says so. The frames are thick, the hardware is oversized, and nothing is lightened to hit a number. People either love that or they do not, and the Swift is the version that dials it back without giving it up. If you have never handled one, pick it up before you decide.

An Automatic

Push button automatics are restricted in a number of states and cities. Worth checking your state and local law before you order.
