The Back Door: Microtech Combat Troodon Gen III D/E OTF Auto - 4" M390MK Blue Stonewash, Fully Serrated - Made in USA (1142-12BL) (Trade In)

Back Door Entry. Used, with slight fall damage. Read the condition note before you buy. Comes with the box.

This is a Microtech Combat Troodon Gen III, double edge, blue stonewash, fully serrated, part number 1142-12BL. New on this SKU is $490.

Condition, stated plainly. This knife has slight fall damage. Everything functions and the knife is in otherwise really nice shape, but it has been dropped and it shows. Priced accordingly. Ask for additional photos before you buy if you want to see it.

The Combat Troodon

The Combat Troodon is the big one. Microtech scaled the Troodon up into a full size out the front automatic and it became the model people picture when they picture a Microtech. Double action, so the same slide fires and retracts.

Double Edge and Fully Serrated

This is the D/E, so both edges are sharpened, and this one is serrated the full length of both. That is a specific combination. Serrations tear through rope, webbing, and fibrous material long after a plain edge has given up. What you give up is clean push cuts and easy sharpening. Worth knowing before you buy that double edged blades are restricted in some states and cities.

M390MK

M390MK is Bohler's M390 made to Microtech's spec with higher carbon for a more consistent heat treat. Long edge life and good corrosion resistance. The blue stonewash hides handling better than a satin finish does.
