This is a full size Microtech MSI Ram Lok in distressed grenade green aluminum, with hardware in a lighter shade of green. The blade is a 3.9 inch stonewashed M390MK sheepsfoot. Born January 2026.

The MSI, short for Microtech Standard Issue, is the brand's manual folder. Microtech built its name on out the front automatics, so the MSI exists for the buyer who wants Microtech tolerances and finish work without the auto action or the legal questions that come with it. The Ram Lok is their own mechanism, a bar lock that disengages the same way for either hand.

The distressed grenade green is what makes this one worth looking at twice. The frag milling gives the aluminum texture you can feel through a glove, and the distressed finish means it already looks worked in rather than factory fresh. Microtech matched the hardware in a lighter green, which is the kind of detail that does not show up in a catalog photo.

M390MK is Bohler's M390 made to Microtech's spec, with higher carbon for a more consistent heat treat. Long edge life and good corrosion resistance, on a sheepsfoot grind that has no upswept point to snag on what you are cutting.
