This is a Microtech Socom Ram-Lok single edge from the Signature Series, Shadow aluminum handle with a DLC M390MK blade. Look the photos over before you buy.

The Socom is the knife that built Microtech's name in the nineties, and the Ram-Lok version brings it forward without softening what made it work. Ram-Lok is Microtech's crossbar lock, ambidextrous, and it stays out of the way of your grip no matter which hand you use. The blade rides on bearings and drops open with one thumb.

Shadow is the quiet one. It is not polished and it is not blacked out, it sits between the two, and against a DLC blade the whole knife reads low key rather than tactical. Signature Series is Microtech's line for configurations they build in small numbers instead of running forever.

M390MK under the DLC, which is Microtech's own blend of the steel everybody else chases. It holds a working edge a long time and does not care about moisture. The DLC on top adds surface hardness and kills glare.

Nearly four inches of blade in a folder under four and a half ounces, built in North Carolina.
