The Back Door: Pro-Tech TR-3 Tactical Response 3 Auto - Blue Grooved Aluminum, 3.5" 154CM - Made in USA (TR-3 Blue) (Trade In)

The Back Door entry. Used. No fall damage. Has the box.

This is a Pro-Tech TR-3 automatic with the blue grooved aluminum handle and a 154CM blade. See the photos for the blade finish and overall condition before you buy.

The TR-3 is the knife that built Pro-Tech's reputation. It has been in the catalog for years, it has not needed to change, and there is a reason you see them in pockets everywhere. A 3.5 inch blade on a 6061 aluminum chassis, button lock, fires out the side off a single button, and the whole thing weighs under four ounces. There is nothing clever about it. It opens when you press the button and it does that for years.

The grooved handle is the detail worth noticing. Those machined grooves give you grip without the sandpaper feel of aggressive texturing, so the knife stays comfortable in a hand that is actually working. In blue, it reads a little less tactical than the black ones and a lot of people prefer that.

154CM is an honest steel. It is not chasing a spec sheet. It takes a fine edge, it comes back fast on a stone, and it does not chip when you use the knife for what people actually use knives for. For a carry automatic in this range, it is the sensible choice.

These run right around two hundred new. At the price here, this is an easy way into an American made automatic.
