Not the Sheath It Shipped With
The Circadian normally comes with a Kydex sheath and a Tek-Lok. This one has a brown leather sheath with an Ulticlip instead, so somebody spent money on it after the fact. If you prefer leather to Kydex, that is a free upgrade built into the price.
The Sliciest Thing Reiff Makes
Reiff grinds the Circadian high and nearly flat on 0.12 inch stock, which they call the sliciest blade in their lineup and which is not a hard claim to believe once you hold it. Most EDC fixed blades are ground thick because thick feels sturdy. This one is ground to cut.
At 4.1 ounces with a 3.97 inch handle, you get a full size grip on a knife that disappears in a pocket.
MagnaCut
MagnaCut gives you edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance without trading any of the three. On a fixed blade that might see water, a cleaning table, or a wet pocket, it is the right steel.
Made in USA, All of It
Reiff makes the knives in the USA and the sheaths in the USA, and says they have done it that way since day one. That is a rarer claim than it should be in this category.
Why This One Is Priced Where It Is
There are very few used Circadians on the secondary market, so there is not much to comp against. New ones run $285 to $299. This is priced to move rather than to test the ceiling.
