This is a Southern Grind Bad Monkey in the satin tanto configuration with twill woven carbon fiber scales and an Emerson Wave opener. See the photos for condition before you buy.

Southern Grind is no longer in business, so every one of these that comes through is one that already exists and is not being replaced. The company was started by Zac Brown in Peachtree City, Georgia, later ran under Diamondback Knife Works in Florida, and has now ceased operations entirely. That does not make this a collector piece overnight, but it does mean the supply is fixed.

The Bad Monkey is the big one in the line. Nearly four inches of blade, titanium liners, and a liner lock, with the Emerson Wave hook on the spine so it opens on the way out of the pocket. The tanto grind puts a lot of steel behind the tip, which is the point of a tanto, and 14C28N is a steel that sharpens easily and does not rust if you look at it wrong. It is a working knife, not a safe queen.
