Southern Grind has closed for good. The company started with Zac Brown in Peachtree City, Georgia, later ran under Diamondback Knife Works in Florida, and is now out of business. Nothing new is coming, so what is out there is what there is.

The Spider Monkey is the smaller sibling to the Bad Monkey and the one most people would actually carry every day. A 3.25 inch drop point in S35VN on contoured carbon fiber, titanium liners, liner lock, and a shade over three ounces. S35VN is the easy call here. It holds an edge through real work, it does not chip when you ask it to pry a little, and it comes back on a stone without a fight. Drop point, flat ground, nothing exotic. It just works.
