This is the run where TRM fully DLC coated the TAGALONG for the first time, and as far as we know it only happened once. Lone Star Knife and Supply carried that drop. Getting one back is not something we expected. Look the photos over before you buy.

Used, no fall damage. No box, but the black leather taco sheath is here, which matters more than the box does on a knife you wear. The DLC is the part to look at in the photos.

What the DLC Actually Does

Diamond Like Carbon is not a paint job. It is a hard surface layer that raises the hardness of the outside of the blade, cuts friction so the blade pulls through material easier, and adds another barrier against corrosion on top of what MagnaCut already gives you. It is a functional upgrade that happens to look good, which is the right order for those two things.

Small Fixed Blade, Real Reason

A fixed blade has no pivot, no lock, and nothing that can fail. The reason most people carry folders anyway is size. At 5.31 inches overall and under two ounces, the TAGALONG takes that objection away. It rides in a pocket or on a belt and you forget it is there until you need it.

MagnaCut

MagnaCut gives you edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance without trading any of the three. On a small fixed blade, the corrosion resistance is the part that matters most, because this is the knife that goes in a pocket and gets used on whatever is in front of you.
