Specifications

  • Brand: Ti2 Design
  • Model: TechLiner Grid
  • Pattern: Ladetta
  • Material: Titanium
  • Finish: Blue and bronze anodized
  • Refill: Pilot G2 compatible
  • Cap: Pull off, magnetically retained at tip and tail, posts

The Cap and the Refill

The cap pulls off and holds magnetically at both ends, so it snaps onto the tail and posts while you write rather than going in a pocket to get lost.

It takes a Pilot G2 refill, which is the spec that matters most on a pen at this price. G2 cartridges are at every drugstore for a couple of dollars, so you are never hunting a proprietary refill or paying a premium for one.

Two Anodized Colors on One Body

Anodizing titanium is not paint. The color comes from an oxide layer grown on the surface, and the thickness of that layer decides the color you get.

Running two colors on one pen means the process has to be controlled twice to different depths, with the boundary landing where it is supposed to. Blue and bronze sit at opposite ends of the range, which is why the contrast is as strong as it is.

Titanium

Light, and it will not corrode or patina. The anodizing is grown into the metal rather than applied over it, so there is no coating to chip.

The Grid Body

The Grid is milled across the barrel, so the pen indexes in your fingers rather than rolling against them.

About Ti2 Design

Ti2 Design works out of Honolulu, Hawaii, and it is the oldest of the companies Mike Bond runs. The TechLiner started life as a Kickstarter.

We met Mike at the California Custom Knife Show in the fall of 2026 and brought these back directly.
