The NEUTRON 2 sits between the compact NERD and the full size ATOM at a 3 inch blade. It runs a full flat ground CPM MagnaCut drop point on 0.090 inch stock, with pocketed titanium liners and phosphor bronze washers. This one wears Pop camo carbon, 3D contoured and left smooth. Made in Three Rivers, Massachusetts.

Note from Lone Star Knife & Supply: Three of these came in. The NEUTRON 2 is the one people land on when the ATOM is slightly more knife than they want to carry every day and the NERD is slightly less. Same grind philosophy, half an inch shorter.

The Pop Colorway

Purple, orange, and pink over near black. The name earns itself.

The colors come through as bright veins running across a dark field rather than as blocks of color, so the handle reads mostly black from across a room and not at all black once it is in your hand.

Scales Come Off

The NEUTRON 2 is built around interchangeable scales, so the handle on it now is not the handle it has to keep. If you buy this one for the camo carbon and later want titanium, that swap is a design feature rather than a modification.

What Camo Carbon Is

Camo Carbon starts as aerospace grade carbon fiber, pressed into a solid block under high heat and vacuum. That is why it comes out structural rather than decorative, and it is made in the USA.

The pattern runs all the way through the block. Nothing is printed on the surface, so what you see is whatever the milling exposed as it cut down through the layers. It cannot wear off, and no two sets come out the same. On a 3D contoured scale, where the cutter works at changing depths across the whole handle, that is at its most obvious.

Why You Will Want It
