The Koschei in Battleworn, for the first time.
The Koschei has been Heretic's fastest moving knife this year, and dealers kept asking for new finishes. This is the answer. Battleworn is the finish that looks right out of the box and looks better after a year in your pocket, because it already started there.

Why Battleworn Works Here
Most finishes start perfect and go downhill. Battleworn starts worn, which means the first scratch does not register, the tenth does not either, and the knife never reaches the point where you start treating it as too nice to use.
On the Koschei specifically, that matters more than usual. This is a knife people fidget with constantly, and a mirror or satin finish shows every bit of that. Battleworn absorbs it.
The Crossbar Lock and the Action
The Koschei runs a crossbar lock, so it opens and closes with either hand and there is no liner to push. What has made this model sell the way it has is the action. It is smooth, it flicks hard, and it is genuinely difficult to put down once you pick it up.
MagnaCut
MagnaCut gives you edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance without trading any of the three. It is the steel that made most of the old arguments about stainless versus tool steel irrelevant.
Made in Florida
Heretic designs, engineers, and assembles every knife in house at their Melbourne, Florida facility, and backs all of it with a lifetime warranty. We toured the shop and watched the process firsthand.
Why This One Stands Out
First Battleworn Koschei Heretic has made, at the same $285 as the standard. If you were going to carry one hard anyway, this is the one to carry.
