A One-of-One Custom
Heretic does not release custom Koscheis often. This is serial 018, made for a Heretic Open House, and it is the only one in this exact configuration. It ships with a signed Certificate of Badassery, which Heretic includes with its custom work.
Baker Forge Gomai Damascus
The blade is a stainless Gomai damascus from Baker Forge. Gomai is a five-layer lamination, and the damascus pattern gives the blade a flowing look that no two pieces share. It is a big step up from the standard MagnaCut Koschei blade.
Slotted Copper Chemtina Chassis
The chassis is slotted copper with a Chemtina finish, a chemically induced patina that gives the copper depth and color. DLC hardware and an antique copper clip round out the look, so the whole knife reads warm and worn in the best way.
The Koschei Platform
Under the custom materials it is still a Koschei, Heretic's first crossbar lock folder. The ambidextrous crossbar lock and thumb hole opener give you smooth one-handed use, and the platform is set up to carry either left or right handed.
Made in the USA
Heretic Knives builds the Koschei in Sebastian, Florida, and the custom work is where the shop's skill really shows. A one-of-one piece like this is about as far as a production shop's custom program goes, and it is exactly the kind of American-made work we like to carry.
Why This One Stands Out
This is a single serialized custom in a combination Heretic made once. Baker Forge damascus, a copper Chemtina chassis, DLC hardware, and a signed certificate, all made in the USA. When it is gone, it is gone.
