The Martyr is an all-new Heretic manual folder that revives a classic Heretic name on a completely new design. It takes cues from the Heretic classics but comes in thinner and lighter, with a 3.5 inch MagnaCut tanto blade and a glass-packed polymer chassis. This is the bronze blade on a black chassis.

A New Take on a Classic Name

Heretic brought back the Martyr name for a design that is not a rework of an old model. It borrows the look of the Heretic classics but is built as a light, thin everyday carry. At 8.4 inches overall it runs a little longer than you might expect, while staying easy to carry.

MagnaCut Tanto Blade

The 3.5 inch blade is CPM MagnaCut, the steel Heretic uses across most of its lineup. It holds an edge and resists corrosion well, and it handles daily cutting without much fuss. The tanto shape gives you a strong tip for harder tasks. This version pairs that blade with a bronze finish against the black chassis.

Lightweight Polymer Chassis

The chassis is a glass-packed polymer, which is what brings the weight down to 3.8 ounces. Heretic kept all-stainless internal hardware inside for strength and rigidity, so the light weight does not come at the cost of a solid feel. The button lock action is smooth, and an ambidextrous single-point clip handles carry on either side.
