Why Fully Serrated

A fully serrated edge is a specific tool rather than a general upgrade. Serrations tear through rope, webbing, seatbelt, and fibrous material faster than a plain edge and they keep cutting long after a plain edge has dulled, because the points take the wear while the recesses stay sharp. What you give up is clean push cuts and easy sharpening.

On a rescue or utility fixed blade that tradeoff makes sense. If you want a knife that slices, take the plain edge version. If you want one that gets through webbing in a hurry, this is it.

The Nephilim has always been the fixed blade in Heretic's lineup that people admired and then left at home, because it is a lot of knife. The Mini keeps the dagger profile and brings it down to 7.9 inches overall with a 4 inch blade. That is the size where a fixed blade stops being a project and starts being something you put on a belt without thinking about it.

The Dagger Profile

A dagger is a symmetrical blade that tapers to a point from both sides, which is what gives the Nephilim its silhouette. Worth knowing before you buy: dagger and double edged blades are restricted in some states and cities, so check your local law the way you would with any fixed blade of this shape.

The Sheath Is Not an Afterthought

This ships with a leather sheath made by JRE Industries in Wisconsin, fitted with the Ulticlip APH Clip. The APH won Accessory of the Year at BLADE Show 2025, and the reason is that it is adjustable, so the same sheath carries several different ways depending on how you mount it. Most fixed blades in this range come with a sheath you end up replacing. This one comes with the sheath people buy separately.
