The Harder One to Get

Heretic launched the Mini Nephilim in stonewash. The DLC came out of the same shop in a much smaller number, and we were able to get a couple of them. If you have followed Heretic long enough you know how this goes. The first run configuration is the one everybody buys, and the small batch variant is the one people go looking for a year later.

Everything the Nephilim Is, In a Size You Will Carry

The Nephilim has always been the fixed blade in Heretic's lineup that people admired and then left at home, because it is a lot of knife. The Mini keeps the dagger profile and brings it down to 7.9 inches overall with a 4 inch blade. That is the size where a fixed blade stops being a project and starts being something you put on a belt without thinking about it.

The Dagger Profile

A dagger is a symmetrical blade that tapers to a point from both sides, which is what gives the Nephilim its silhouette and why the model looks the way it does. Worth knowing before you buy: dagger and double edged blades are restricted in some states and cities, so check your local law the way you would with any fixed blade of this shape.

Why DLC

DLC stands for diamond like carbon, and it is the hardest finish Heretic puts on a blade. It resists scratching better than a coating and it takes the shine off completely, so the blade reads flat black rather than glossy. Against carbon fiber scales the whole knife goes dark.

The Sheath Is Not an Afterthought

This ships with a leather sheath made by JRE Industries in Wisconsin, fitted with the Ulticlip APH Clip. The APH won Accessory of the Year at BLADE Show 2025, and the reason is that it is adjustable, so the same sheath carries several different ways depending on how you mount it.
